Typographic games
The concept
Antigel is an international music and dance festival that is held in almost all Geneva’s municipalities. For its eleventh and twelfth edition, Cosmogama has been entrusted with the festival’s visuals. To enrich this collaboration, we have developed images based on typography. For the first edition, a balance between vintage chic and Cuban graphics inspired us to create a dynamic of beams of light in the dark: representing paths to break through the silence. For the second edition, the poster is created from a game of tilts and chromatic transitions: an invitation to get lost in the time of colors.
The form
Designed like a playing card, the 2021 poster is inspired by original graphics used to illustrate Cuban guerrilla warfare. Some of the colors used for the beams of light on a black background refer to the artistic disciplines that structure the festival’s program. The 2022 poster extends this pop sobriety, mirroring, with perspectives and inverted colors.
