Theater as playground
The concept
The visual identity imagined for the Casino Théâtre de Rolle is a game: a game of association and superimposition of shapes and materials, a game of ellipsis, a game between the visible and the invisible, between the tangible and the intangible. The gaze of the central female figure captures us; ours is free to wander through an image that we read between the lines and compose as we please. A game for our imaginations.
The form
The colours are in harmony with the central female figure: sober and elegant. A touch of yellow calls to mind, like the fixed gaze of this character. The Minion Pro typeface (inspired by Renaissance typefaces) is traditionally intended for common text and extended reading: in addition to its elegance, it echoes literature, theater and the arts. To contemporize the name of the Casino Théâtre de Rolle, hand marks underline the typography.
