The metaphor of a Theatre
The concept
The visual created for the 23-24 season of Château Rouge in Annemasse is a representation of the party, the night and the dynamism of the Scène conventionnée. Through a celestial image and the presence of an oversized star that radiates over the Theatre, Cosmogama conveys the scale and importance of this cultural venue. The star can also evoke fireworks. Figuratively speaking, a firework is something that dazzles with the number and speed of elements or events that follow one another, like the density of activity at Château Rouge throughout the year.
The form
In order to convey a metaphorical image, the graphic treatment is simple and straightforward. The shape above the Theatre and the Theatre itself are almost schematic. Colorimetry is reduced to a minimum, and the treatment is close to two-color. Nothing disturbs the two main elements that make up the image (the astral element and Château Rouge), for a direct, impactful message.
